Artist Statement
The physical rhythm required to work with molten glass is what I fell in love with, I wish to communicate the vitality and exuberance of the making experience. There is a wealth of possibilities for experimentation, however I strive for a bold simplicity, maintaining a clear direction to my explorations. I look for the subtle possibilities offered by traditional glass blowing processes such as colour overlay and venetian cane techniques, and constantly explore the visual interplay of opaque and transparent colours.
